Meet Our Other Instructors
KIM LINSIDER
Catch her if you can…when Kim is not hard at work, she is
at home with her husband and two young children. Kim, a native of
South Africa, became interested in Accent Reduction while working
towards her Masters Degree in Speech Pathology at the University
of Georgia. She enjoys instructing courses because she can give
personalized attention to each of her clients. The detailed, structured,
and straightforward methods appeal to her the most! Kim has traveled
abroad to places like South Africa, Israel, Canada, and France.
In her spare time, Kim enjoys cooking and reading.
CANDACE HOGAN
Ah-ha moments are what Candace enjoys best about teaching the COMPTON
P-ESL method. Watching the expression on the faces of her clients
when they achieve their personal speech goals is what drives her.
Candace became interested in Accent Reduction while taking a voice
course toward her Masters degree in Speech Pathology at East Tennessee
State University. Her love for teaching is evident in each session
she conducts. Her calm and encouraging ways make each person feel
that they can overcome any pronunciation obstacle! Candace enjoys
traveling out West, as well as reading and exercising.
TAMMY VINCENT
A well traveled woman! Tammy has been to England, Germany, Austria,
Ireland, and is anticipating a trip to Italy in the near future!
Each opportunity to travel has allowed her to embrace different
cultures, traditions, and ways of life. Tammy greatly admires individuals
who are bilingual and have made the decision to improve their English
pronunciation. Tammy has worked as a Speech Pathologist for 18 years.
As a graduate from San Diego State University, she has used her
degree in Speech Pathology to work with infants, school aged children
and adults! Her energy and enthusiasm pours into her classrooms…she
is a motivator. Tammy enjoys traveling with her family, meeting
with her book club, and supporting her children in sports and other
activities.
BARBARA EASON
Barbara comes to Atlanta Accent Management with many years of experience in the field of Speech Language Pathology. She received
her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Florida State University. She has worked in many different areas of
the field, but has spent much of her career working with children. Barbara was raised in a bilingual family and feels that her multiculteral experience flows into her teaching. Barbara is very active in her church, as well as, Hope for Children and supporting mothers with injured children. In her spare time she enjoys walking, cooking, writing poetry, and photography. Her interest in embracing other cultures is evident
in her delivery of Accent Reduction Programs. Barbara enjoys delivering programs that promise high success rates; even more so she enjoys seeing her clients confidence beam!
TANG LUND
Tang is a natural teacher! She earned a BS in Elementary Education from Erskine College in South Carolina before going on to teach at Sylvan Learning Center, as well as, teach English as a second language at her local church. Tang went back to school to earn her M.Ed. in Communication Disorders from Georgia State University. While working as a student clinician at Georgia State, Tang had the opportunity to work with a gentleman who was having difficulty finding professional work due to his decreased spoken communication skills. Tang instantly became interested in Accent Reduction, and knew she wanted to continue her work in this area far beyond graduate school. She enjoys using her skills as a Speech Language Pathologist to help many Atlanta area professionals in this area. "The best part is seeing great improvements in such a short period of time", she exclaims! Tang enjoyes traveling and has been to places like France, England, Switzerland, Germany, Lichtenstein, Austria, and Sweden.
SHANNON HANES
Shannon loves to motivate...and she enjoys when her clients come to the table ready to make improvements. After obtaining her Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she went on to become a therapist in the Georgia public school system. She enjoys meeting people from all over the world, as well as, learning about their customs and traditions. She has traveled to places like Canada, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, England, France, Germany, Belgium, and the Neatherlands. Shannon enjoys singing, dancing, and traveling.
CARESSA BINGHAM
Caressa's big heart is what drew her to working with individuals from other countries. The caring does not stop there! Caressa especially enjoys fostering animals via a program called Ahimsa House; an organization that provides shelter and aid to animals caught in the cycle of domestic violence. Caressa obtained her M.S. in Speech Language Pathology from Radford University. Since graduating, she has spent the majority of her professional time working with children and young adults diagnosed with Behavior Disorders and Autism, as well as, instructing Accent Reduction courses at Atlanta Accent Management. When not hard at work, Caressa enjoys hiking, downhill skiing, and skydiving. Caressa enjoys working with clients in individual and small group classes. It allows her to focus her energy and deliver excellent instructional programs!
MALLORY HART
Mallory truly enjoys being surrounded by people from all over the world. She has spent past summers working at resorts in the Florida Keys with individuals from far away places. Mallory comes to Atlanta Accent Management with experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in the Georgia Public School System. She currently instructs Accent Reduction courses, as well as, deliver speech therapy to individuals in a private clinic. Her expertise in a variety of settings make her a wonderful asset to the AAM team. Outside of her professional work, Mallory enjoys shopping, cooking, photography, and weekend trips. Her travel log is full of memories from places like Italy and the Caribbean! Mallory especially enjoys instructing Accent Reduction courses because she quickly sees the hard work and dedication of her clients pay off in the form of improved communication skills.
MARIKA MODLIN
Marika comes to Atlanta Accent Management with 20 years of expierence in the field of Speech Language Pathology. She graduated from the University of Montevallo with a Masters Degree in Communication and Accent Reduction. Since graduating, she has spent a large amount of her time here in the Georgia Public Schools working with children. Marika grew up watching how difficult communication was for her mother who had a strong accent. That compelled her to become involved in Accent Reduction. She thrives on helping others who really want to experience successful communication. Her good nature and spirit is infectious! In her down time Marika enjoys playing tennis, walking, and watching movies.
